Well convert all of them into fourths. 3 1/2 = 3 2/4. Add all the whole numbers 2 + 4 + 3 = 9 and then add the fractions 1/4 + 3/4 + 2/4 = 6/4 = 1 2/4. Finally add the whole number and fraction together, 10 2/4 or 10 1/2.
