Explanation:

Leave the b alone because there are no other like terms.

But there are like terms for a so just combine them.

So look at the first a term, it is 2/3a

The second like term is -4/3a

MAKE SURE TO INCLUDE THE NEGATIVE

They are the same denominator which makes it easier.

So just do 2/3a-4/3a

You get -2/3a

Now combine the a and b together

-2/3a+4/3b
