The Campaign of the Wilderness was started against the Northern Virginia southern army that eventually, after numerous weeks and terrifying conditions, ordered Gen. Robert E. Lee's partners back to the revolution at Richmond. This incident caused approximately 11,400, with estimating of about 1,500 assassinated, 8,000 wounded and 1,700 arrested or wanting.
