Answer: -3/2x + 7/2

Explanation:

for parallel lines; m₁ = m₂

the gradient of the given line is -3/2

2y= -3x + 4

y = -3/2x + 2

therefore the gradient of the parallel line is -3/2

hence the equation is y-y₁ = m(x-x₁)

y-5 = -3/2(x+1)

y - 5 =-3/2x - 3/2

y = -3/2x -3/2 + 5

y = -3/2x + 7/2
