Answer: Renaissance

The Renaissance was a huge cultural movement that emerged in Italy and spread throughout Western Europe during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries; specifically in Germany, the Netherlands, England, France, Spain and Portugal. Being this period considered as the transition between the Middle Ages and the beginnings of the Modern Age.

This movement was characterized by the renewal of the arts and their expression, as well as the revival of scientific research, the separation of society from the church (unlike the Middle Ages), and the apogee of universities. In addition, a new conception of humanity and the world was established as a result of the diffusion of ideas related to humanism.
