So we can equate the expressions


KC= 2x+10


CN= 4x+1

KC = CN


2x+10=4x+1

Subtract 2x on both sides


2x-2x+10=4x-2x+1


10=2x+1

Divide both sides by 2


x=4.5

Now we find out KC


KC= 2x+10


KC= 2(4.5)+10
