Im writing a timed essay and this is the prompt "Should the right to free speech outweigh our desire to end the use of hateful words?" can someone tell me what that means please?

It is basically saying that our freedom of speech more important then ending hate speech (not being able to voice our opinions about a sensitive topic). The side that I believe is easier to defend is the outweighs of freedom of speech. The 5 parts of freedom of speech protects our 5 rights (speech, religion, press, assembly, right to petition the government). There’s many controversy in the world happening that if we have the platform in a “free” country, we should be able to express ourselves.
