15/2.0=7.5. The average velocity of the person is 7.5.

Hello there i hope you are having a good day :) Question :A person began running due east and covered 15 kilometres in 2.0 hours. What is the average velocity of the person? Show all your work: =

So firstly you would do D = distance the total displacement of the person running due east that would equal too = 15 km. Then you would do time it was taken to the person to travel the given distance due east which would be = 2.0 hr. Then finally you would do v velocity that you would do average velocity = total displacement/total time so that would be v = 15 km/2.0 hr v = 7.50 km/h and that would be your answer.
