Explanation: In Lord of the Flies, Simon is beaten to death by the other boys. Simon tries desperately to explain what has happened and to remind them of who he is, but he trips and plunges over the rocks onto the beach. The boys fall on him violently and kill him.

Answer: Simon died in Chapter 9: A View to a Death. He was killed when the other boys mistake him for the Beast and murder him over the campfire (it's brutal, I know).
