2) Factor out the X. x*(x-6)=0

3) x* (x - 6) =0 When the product of factors equal zero at least one factor is zero.

x=0

x-6=0

4)Solve for "x-6=0" for X. Move constant to the right by adding its opposite to both sides

x-6 +6 = 0 +6

Eliminate the opposites

x - 6 + 6 = 0 + 6

x= 0+6

x=6

5) the solutions are x1=0 and x2=6
