Explanation:

We can factor out a few numbers right off the bat-

(11x^2+2x^3+14+17x) / (2x+5)

(11x^2+2x^2+14+17x) / (5)

Now make the denominator disappear.

(11x^2+2x^2+14+17x) / (5)

2.2x^2+.4x^2+2.8+3.4x

= (2x^3 + 11x^2 + 17x + 14) ÷ (2x + 5)

= x^2 + 3x + 1 r 9
