The term for the monomers of carbohydrates are monosaccharides. Every macromolecule has monomers, the building blocks of itself. In Carbohydrates’ case it is monosaccharides, the building blocks of carbohydrates. The components of carbohydrates is CHO (Carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen).

Examples: Bread, Chips, Pasta
