In order to get a dog that has specific desirable trait/s, then the owners of the dogs have to get involved. The involvement should be in the manner of only allowing dogs that have the same trait to breed between each other, but in no case to be allowed to breed with other dogs that do not posses that particular trait. In this way, the offspring will inherit the desirable trait from their parents, and if the selective breeding continues, then there will be a new dog type on the scene that will be unique by its trait/s.
