The difference between explicit morals and implicit morals is quite simple. Implicit morals usually have a deep, hidden meaning that the reader must find on his or her own through reading the story and events. Explicit morals are easy to identify, because they openly tell you what the lesson of a story is. Sometimes, at the end of the story or fable, the moral will be found there or one of the characters may say it themselves.
