What are analog and digital information? How are they similar? How are they different? Give at least two common examples of each.

How are analog and digital information transmitted? What kind of information does each transmit best? Which type easily loses part of its signal to noise, and which does not?
How are analog and digital information stored? What kinds of benefits and drawbacks come from each storage method? Discuss stability and security.

Submission Requirements You will write and submit a 5 paragraph paper.. The first paragraph will be your personal introduction to the topic. Paragraphs 2-4 will each focus on responding to the 3 numbered prompts above. The last paragraph will be your own personal conclusion based on what you have learned about the topic. Each paragraph should be written with grammatically correct sentences, and the words in the paper should be your own, NOT copied from your sources. List your references at the end of the paper. They should include at least 2 reputable sources that you found helpful while doing your research.

Answer:

Analog information is one uses information translation into electric pulses with different amplitudes.Digital information uses information translation of electric pulses into binary format.

Analog and digital information are similar because they both use electric signals to transmit information.

Examples of analog information is human voice in air and voice recorded using a turntable. Example of digital information is graphs, tables, e-mails and chart room messages

During transmission, analog information can be distorted by noise thus reducing its accuracy. In digital transmission, information can prevented from interference of noise.

Analog transmission is best suited for audio and video information.Digital transmission is applied to deliver information through digital electronic devices and to convey information to be used in computing.

The analog transmission easy loses part of its signal due to noise interference. The digital signal is not affected by noise during its transmission process.

Analog information is stored in the form of wave signals in analog devices. The digital information is stored in binary bits

Analog information is stored in physical media such as cassettes which are currently not easy to find.Digital information can be stored in a wide range of devices such as CDs which is on removable devices easily accessible to us and online in the cloud storage space. This is more secure.
