Imperialism in Africa and India started because European powers needed more natural resources to fill up the need to produce more and more goods during the Industrial Revolution. British occupied India and many European countries occupied and divided the African Continent.

Imperialism in both places consisted of forcing the habitants of those places to work for the empire and the many natural resources to benefit European Countries. Also, Imperialism ended in both places with poverty and no benefits for the colonies.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

European imperialism in India and Africa was similar in the following:

Both in India and in much of the eastern part of the African continent, there was presence of British Imperialism. In the case of India, Empress was proclaimed Queen Victoria to secure that area and appropriate the natural resources that came from it and to maintain control and authority of the British Empire. In the case of Africa, due to the distribution made by the different European imperialist powers, Great Britain, it also became a credit to much of the continent to the same extent as in India, appropriate mineral resources such as gold and diamond.
