2x+4= 3x-6+2

2x+4=3x-4

2x-3x+4=3x-3x-4

-x+4=-4

-x+4-4= -4-4

-x=-8

Need to multiply by -1 for x to be positive and also for -8

-1(-x)= -1(-8)

x=8
