Is there an easier way to understand the sixth amendment? A quick summary or something? I'm writing a paper but i cannot understand or find something simply explaining the sixth amendment. What *atleast* are the main points of it?

- Rights of Accused Persons in Criminal Cases

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor; and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.

Answer:When the Founding Fathers drafted this amendment, they knew they had just fought a war for freedom from tyranny. So they were concerned that people would be imprisoned and held without a fair trial. They wanted to make sure this wasn't the case in America.
