Distance between Cooper and Drew = 10 miles

Let distance between Ship and Cooper is = x miles

Now we apply Sine rule in the Δ SCD


(sin100)/(10)=(sin35)/(x)


(0.9848)/(10)=(0.5736)/(x)

By cross multiplication

(0.9848)x = 10(0.5736)


x=(5.736)/(0.9848)=5.82 miles

Option A. 5.8 miles is the correct option.
