  1. No, the government does not the right to tell you what religion you should follow. This has been established by the Constitution of the United States under the Amendment I (1st Amendment) ; thus, that states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Those words established by the constitution, allows others to practice whatever religion, they would like to without interference from the government.
  2. The First Amendment of the United States allows, freedom of speech and freedom of expression. Therefore, you have the right to rebut or disagree with your friends. As stated in the Constitution, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
