Answer:

(-7 , 7/2)

Explanation:

Given in the question,

point E(-4,14)

x1 = -4

y1 = 14

point G(-8,-2)

x2 = -8

y2 = -2

Location of point F which is 3/4 of the way from E to G

which means ratio of point F from E to G is 3 : 1

a : b

3 : 1

xF =
x1+(a)/(a+b)(x2-x1)

yF =
y1+(a)/(a+b)(y2-y1)

Plug values in the equation

xF = -4 + (3)/(3+1) (-8+4)

xF = -7

yF = 14 + (3)/(3+1)(-2-14)

yf = 7/2
