Answer:

When π is approximated, 125.68, or 40π

Explanation:

Circumference formula is 2πr

This is approx: 15.71

Multiply that by 8 to find the surface area of the side of the can.

The answer is 125.68.

HOWEVER, if you are expressing this without approximating π,

it would be 5(Pi), then multiply by 8, and we would get 40π

So un-simplified is 40π
