What does Prospero mean in the speech to Ariel in the tempest

i will set you free once we finish our work against our enemies

Prospero has promised Ariel throughout the whole play that he will set him free once all of this work is done. In this passage, Prospero is saying that it is only a short time before all his work is finished, Ariel just has to do a little bit more to 'hunt' his enemies.
