In the figure AB is parallel to CD. BC is parallel to AE. angle ABD measures (3x+4). angle BCD measures (6x-8). angle EDF measures (7x-20). what is the degree measure of angle BCD?

Guys I really need ur help. my test is tomorrow and I've been stuck on this question since yesterday. I literally am about to have a mental breakdown

Answer:

The measure of angle BCD is
68.5\°

Explanation:

step 1

Find the value of x

we know that

m<ABD+m<BCD+m<EDF=180\° -----> form a straight line

substitute the values

(3x+4)\°+(6x-8)\°+(7x-20)\°=180\°

(16x-24)\°=180\°

16x=180\°+24\°

16x=204\°

x=12.75\°

step 2

Find the measure of angle BCD

m<BCD=(6x-8)

substitute the value of x

m<BCD=6(12.75)-8=68.5\°
