Answer: 2.61

Explanation:

Given data (x) : 7,5,10,11,12

Mean of the data :
\overline{x}=9

Number of data values : n= 5

Now,
\sum (x-\overline{x})^2=(7-9)^2+(5-9)^2+(10-9)^2+(11-9)^2+(12-9)^2

i.e.
\sum (x-\overline{x})^2=34

Now, the standard deviation for this data is given by :-

\sigma=\sqrt{\frac{\sum  (x-\overline{x})^2}{n}}\\\\\sigma=\sqrt{(34)/(5)}=2.60768096208\approx2.61
