We know that when two events: Event A and event B are independent then if P denote the probability of an event then Probability A and B is equal to the product of probability of the individual events.

i.e.


P(A\ and\ B)=P(A)* P(B)

Here we have:

P(A) = 0.80 and P(B) = 0.10

Hence,


P(A\ and\ B)=0.80* 0.10\\\\P(A\ and\ B)=0.08
