The domain of a function is the complete set of possible values of the independent variable.

The cosine function is represented by the expression: y=cos(x), where "x" is the independent function, and "y" the dependent function. So the domain comes to be all the values that "x" can take.

The domain of the cosine function is all the real numbers. All this can be verified by looking at its graph (attached)
