How to multiply whole numbers by fractions​

Answer:

Any whole number is over one...so if the whole number was 5 it would be
(5)/(1) bkuz the line in between the numerator and denominator is a dividing sign and 5 divided by 1 is 5

So you put the whole number whatever it is over 1 then multiply that by the fraction

Example:

6 x
(3)/(4) is the same as saying
(6)/(1) x
(3)/(4) which equals
(18)/(4) because 6 times 3 equals 18 and 4 times 1 equals 4

Now you need to simplify or divide...

So,
(18)/(4) is the same as
4 (2)/(4) or
4(1)/(2) bkuz 4 goes into 18 4 and a half times
