AB=28 inch ( given )

AP=26 inch ( given )

since that xy bisects and its perpendicular to AB and CD

then AX=48/2 = 24 inch

so by using Pythagoras theorem

then 26 squared - 24 squared = 10 inch

so XD+YD= 10 +10 =20 inch
