You are given the values of the coordinates of four points ABCD. Explain the conditions for these 4 points to (hint: these have something to do with the slope of the lines):

a) form a parallelogram
b) form a rectangle
What is the additional requirement if the four points are to form a square?
Can two lines both having negative slope be perpendicular to one another Why?

Can two lines both having negative slope be perpendicular to one another. why?

Ans:

Both lines are perpendicular if and only if the product of both gradient equal to -1. If both gradient have negative sign, that’s mean the answer will be in positive sign. Thus, two lines both having negative slope cannot be perpendicular to one another.
