I guess it is technically possible. But of course one of the earlier species displaying humanistic traits is the Australopithecus Afarensis. This species was confirmed to have walked upright because of evidence portrayed by the pelvis bone. Also, the creatures were fully developed around the age of 12. This was shown in the Wisdom teeth. The first member of this species found was named "Lucy".
