y-y1 = m(x -x1)

y-(-6) = -3/4(x -4)

y + 6 = -3/4(x-4)

you can work this toward the slope-intercept formula of y = mx +b by doing the following

y + 6 = -3/4x +3 (distribute the -3/4)

y = -3/4x + 3 -6 ( move the 6 to the other side )

y = -3/4x - 3
