Which function has zeros at x = −2 and x = 5?

f(x) = x2 + 2x − 10
f(x) = x2 − 2x − 10
f(x) = x2 + 3x − 10
f(x) = x2 − 3x − 10

Answer: f(x) = x2 - 3x -10

Explanation:

putting x= -2

f(-2) = (-2)^2 - 3(-2) - 10

=4 + 6 -10

f(-2)=0

f(5) = x2 - 3x - 10

= (5)^2 - 3(5) -10

=25 - 15 - 10

f(5) =0
