Answer:

La Nina refers to a pattern of climate, which illustrates the cooling of ocean water surface along the tropical west coast of South America. It is considered to be the opposite of El Nino that is featured by unusually the warm ocean temperatures in the equatorial parts of the Pacific Ocean.

La Lina is featured by greater than usual normal pressure over the Eastern and Central Pacific. This leads to diminished cloud generation and rainfall in that area. Drier than normal conditions are witnessed along the Gulf Coast of the United States, the West Coast of tropical South America, and the Pampas area of Southern South America.
