Answer:

you make each denominator equal and then you add them together and you get 6 12/30 or 6 6/15

Explanation:

25/30+12/30+6/30+5 6 12/30 or 6 6/15

First we need to calculate how far Bryce's house is away from Addison's house. Since Bryce is 2.2 miles away from Justin and Addison's house is
1(2)/(5), we subtract.

2.2 miles - 1.4 miles = 0.8 miles or
(4)/(5)

Now we know how far Bryce is away from Addison and also how far Addison is away from Justin.

We can now calculate the miles from Justin to the school.

Since Addison is
2(5)/(6) miles from the school, and the distance between Justin and Addison which is
1(2)/(5), we subtract both.

2.8 miles - 1.4 miles = 1.4 miles or
1(7)/(5)

Now that we have all the distances, we add them in total

0.8 (Bryce to Addison) + 1.4 (Addison to Justin) + 1.4 (Justin to the School)

= 3.6 miles

Bryce is 3.6 miles away from the School.

You can draw three houses and a school in the order:

Bryce - Addison - Justin - School

I hope this helps
