Solve the quadratic equation for x. What is the product when the roots are multiplied? 

(x + 2)2 = 1

2(x+2)=1

Then you multiply 2 by x and 2 by 2 so you get..

2x+2=1

Then you subtract 2 from to which you can cross out tand subtract 2 from 1 which equals to -1

2x=-1

Then you divide 2 by 2 which you can cross out and 2 by -1 which equals to -0.5 so..

X=-0.5

-0.5 is your answer
