An equilateral triangle has a side length measure that is represented by 2x+4. What is the perimeter of the triangle? And how would i show this in a model?

6x+12 is P

All sides are same so add up (2x+4)+(2x+4)+(2x+4)

The perimeter is 6x + 12, and a model example is attached.

All three sides of an equilateral triangle are the same, so multiply the side length by 3 to find the perimeter.

3(2x + 4)

Now distribute the 3.

3 * 2x + 3 * 4

6x + 12
