1. (4.3 x 103)+(2.5 x 103)

- you multiply the 4.3 and the 103, then you multilpy the 2.5 and 103

2. =442.9 + 257.5

- you add the 442.9 and the 257.5

3. =700.4

-you move the decimal to left so that the number is less than ten but more than 0

-the number of spaces you moved the decimal which in this case was two is the exponent

4. =7 x 10²
