The statement that voters were less educated then compared to today is false, as many today are still uneducated particularly about politics. In addition, the arrival of immigrants who either do not speak our language and also fail to integrate into society much less understand the political system; as long as they are able to vote, electors are able to prevent the election of a incapable president.
