Answer: a) 6

Explanation:

The mean is 375 which has a z-score of 0.

The standard deviation is 24 so:

  • z-score of 1 is: 375 + 24 = 399
  • z-score of 2 is: 399 + 24 = 423
  • z-score of 3 is: 423 + 24 = 477

A z-score of 3 is 99.85% from the left (or 1 - 99.85% from the right = 0.15%)

Since we are looking for the "more than" a z-score of 3, it is 0.15% of the total.
