Rene Descartes was a French philosopher who died in 1950 and who is considered to be one of the fathers of modern philosophy. Descartes worked on the concept of God, by starting to express that the word "God" by definition is a greater being that cannot be perceived by imperfect humans, such as himself. The philosopher then goes to state that the existence of God has to be real, as it is needed a Perfect being in order for this one to guarantee the rest with the truth.
