factor the equation

x(x^2-x-6)

factor more

x(x-3)(x+2)

set it equal to 0

x(x-3)(x+2)=0

plug in numbers for x that would result in the answer being 0

0(0-3)(0+2)=0

3(3-3)(3+2)=0

-2(-2-3)(-2+2)=0
