The situation in Rwanda was constantly becoming more and more tense, and it has been obvious that there's going to be a military conflict on ethnic basis in the country. The UN did not react in any particular manner in order to prevent the conflict, and even when it started it was slow to react. The UN reaction was way to late, after the genocide was largely performed, and luckily for the Tutsi, their military wing managed to defeat the extremist Hutu organizations and stop the genocide.
