As for C, farmers would probably end up making more and if not the same, because they'd be able to directly sell a higher percentage of their yieldings from the crop because little to no transportation is required (less bruised or damaged goods) and the store or supermarket they sell it in wouldn't be taking a percentage of their earnings.
