I think it was just a publicity stunts and their is a lot of cracks in his story like why was he walking around in a place that nobody would see him he is a celebrity he should be smarter
Jussie Smollett was well known for his role on empire. When the news broke out many people were so upset and taking his side of the story. But after a while there were a few cracks in his story and hard concrete evidence and surveillance footage. So on this one I would side with the police because they actually had proof of him getting the brothers that he supposedly knew to orchestrate this whole event and attack. But then again I also believe him because there was never any proof of him paying the brothers to orchestrate the event the story has many holes and things we do not know. But the police is who I side with the most because they had the most evidence
