Now I want to cover the curved area of the vase in paper. I do not want to cover the bases. My vase has a 6” diameter and is 12” tall. How many square inches of paper will I need?

LA=2\pi rh

r=6/2=3\ in ------> the radius is half the diameter

\pi=3.14


72(3.14)=226.08\ in^(2) ----> approximate value
