Functions of carbohydrates and proteins:
Carbohydrates and proteins are the major biological macro molecules that help in building up our body, both are used for gaining energy whereas the major function of the proteins is to build up hair and nails, maintaining the body metabolism through hormones etc.
Carbohydrates on the other hand are sweeteners that majorly yield glucose on hydrolysis. Structurally also proteins are made up of amino acids and carbohydrates are made up of polysaccharides
