In an airplane the rows are numbered from one to 30 but there is no row number 13, row 15 has only four passenger seats, all others have six passenger seats, how many passenger seats are there in the plane?

Explanation:

Since there's no Row 13, there are 30-1, or 29, rows of seats.

Assuming that all rows have 6 seats, this comes to 6(29), or 174 seats.

Since Row 15 has only four seats, instead of six, we must subtract 2 seats.

So the plane has 172 seats.
