You do length x width (for triangles its called base x height) and divide the product by 2

Answer:

A =
(1)/(2)bh

Explanation:

The area of a triangle is defined as half the product of its base by its height.

A =
(1)/(2)bh

If you do not know the height but you know the length of the three sides of the triangle you can use Heron's formula to find the area

If the lengths of the sides are a, b, c then the area is

A = √(s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c))

Where

s =(a+b+c)/(2)
