Your answer should be 36.4 using 3.1 to approximate π

First, you need to find the area of the triangle


(6 * 8) / 2 = 24 {ft}^(2)

Then, Find the Area of the circle and divide it in half (you have only a semicircle). So you need the radius, that is half of the diameter= 4ft


{4}^(2) * 3.1 = 16 * 3.1 = 49.6{ft}^(2)

Divide it in half (for the semicircle)


49.6 / 2 = 24.8 {ft}^(2)

Sum the area of the triangle and the area of the semicircle


24 + 24.8 = 48.8 {ft}^(2)
